I have a vibration I cant seem to eliminate. The main symptoms is the horz stab on the left side vibrates up and down. It is enough to upset my gyro though. Sometimes if I play with main blade tightness it goes away, but can be back next time I arrive at the field. I have also noticed that if I pull the main grips apart quite hard there is play, basically the very first bearing pulls very slightly out of the grip. I currently have the plastic grips.

Any suggestions

Thanks.

Have you tried changing out the dampers? Sometimes they just need replacing. I noticed mine was pretty worn out. I changed them and the new ones come with metal inserts.

I have not flown enough yet, but that might be an idea, this was a problem on my Trex.

Thanks

vicrc,

Do you mind to post the link for the metal insert?

could be belt tension too. the hurri likes the belt a bit on the tight side. at least mine does.

Did yours vibrate with a loose belt? because I did notice that it occurred after that weird tail thing that the hurri does.

I had it too after a crash and rebuilded my hurri,

Belt tension is very importent, but also the tail blades balancing.

First I had belt to loose, tightened it up a bit and the vibration was almost gone,
not to my satisfaction though... Gyro was still having a hard time..

I had painted my tailblades and forgot to balance them again,
it was minimal but after a small piece of tape it was completly gone...

I ordered the dampers from ReadyHeli, their picture of it was black indicating the original plastic inserts, but when I got mine they were silver metals. Both my o-rings and plastic inserts were a bit damaged from my abuses.

Does anyone know if dampers come with the readyheli "ultimate performance upgrade" and if the spacers are metal or plastic?

no dampners come with that kit... you have to use the ones from the plastic

add some grease on the blade root , easier to get a even tightness on the blades and tighten just enough so the blades not fall of its own weight when u tilt the heli

I believe Gaui has replaced the plastic inserts to the metal ones. It was not an upgrade that I ordered it was just a replacement.

I received the dampers from Infinity a week ago but still plastic, not alu.
They are both having the same part no. 204530.

I believe the alu part should work better as I noticed my plastic part has a little bit out of shape. Not sure is due to metal grip + 550mm blade + Z30A, a bit too stress to the plastic part.....

BL , If there is a "weak point" for me , it that yoke and dampers. The yoke, because it supports the spindle shaft through the dampers, BUT the yoke is held in place with 2 x3mm
machine screws in the plastic version. I also think the dampers have to "fill" a big space and feel that combined with the softer plastic inserts , will not handle a beating.
Having said all that , I have not had any problems with this set -up and no vibration issues.
so really just an observation AFTER damaging the plastic yoke and screws (twisted a good few degrees) and re assembly with the CNC yoke and standard dampers.

Fixed the vibration finally - I hope permanently - I balanced the tail blades, but nothing changed, so I did not check again. Then finally out of frustration I just put a different set on that I had lying around and the vibe was gone - so much for my balancing!!
