Here is a pic of the CellPro 10S with 2S, 8S, and 10S balance leads. The power plugs are plugged into the 6-10S configuration. The yellow bridge allows charging through the balancer only at moderate rates.

Are those custom made adapters for the Thunder Power/Flightpower balancing plugs?

So on the adapters you built for the 10S pair of plugs, it's black to black, then in order across?
(probably obvious, but...)

Yes the 10S are straight through. The 2S is black to black, FP2 to CP2, FP3 to CP red.
The 8S took a while to figure out per FP and CP drawings.
Made from FP test leads and CP leads.

One further question, in case you know...
Would a pair of CP10S-TP/PQ (http://www.fmadirect.com/detail.htm?item=2270§ion=72) be able to hook up any of the FP/TP packs, as long as you picked the right plugs?
TIA,
John

Do they make those already?

The website says "in stock", so I ordered a pair...

I think you would have to make your own adapter for 6-9 cell packs as the common leads are different. Take a look at FPs wiring diagram versus CPs wiring diagram.
Like I said the 8S adapter I made was a little hard to figure out.
The CP10S-TP/PQ (http://www.fmadirect.com/detail.htm?item=2270§ion=72) is for 2-5 cells only. 2 will work for 10S.

A flying buddy of mine bought the Cellpro 10S and charges his FP 6S 2500 on it. He bought extra adapters and plugs the 3 cell (cells 1->3) tap into port 1 and the upper 3 cell tap (5 pins) into port 2.

It looks like you can charge 1P6-9S packs through the balancer only, low rate, with the 5 cell adapter(s)from FMA. Like I said for 1P6-9S packs you will have to make your own adapters as the common wires are different, the charger will sense the wrong voltage through the power leads, for full power charge.

Guys I spoke with the gentlemen from FMA at the Toledo show this weekend. I also purchased a CellPro 10s. You can use two CP10S-TP/PQ adapters to charge a 10s battery and they are available. Mr. Marks( not Fred) said that a 6s-9s adaptor would be available by the end of the month for purchase. If this works as well as the CellPro 4s I can't wait to get mine. They are back ordered and will ship in 2 weeks.

Check out these vids of the FMA cellpro 10S, showing all the capabilities of the charger. Filmed by my good friend Ashley Davis:

I have 3 on order. hehe. Cant wait to be able to charge my 10s packs at 7amps. Now all i need is a 70Amp (1000W) power supply!!
Those in the UK better get your name on the waiting list by calling Aurorra models on 0114270401

I have set up some adapters so I can charge up to 4 2S airborne packs simultainiously.
The 2 sets of leads charge through the balancer port up to 4 amps, perfect for flight packs. Each lead puts 2 batteries in series, but charges each cell individually. The jumper (for changing from 2 to 1 battery on a lead) replaces one battery and tells the charger it is a 2S lead rather than 4S.
I can plug in batteries of fairly significant voltage differences because the charger "balance charges" up to 1 amp per cell. A real time saver.
I hope the picture tells the rest of the story.

I am really liking this charger. With an input voltage of 15.75V it will balance charge an 8S 5350 pack at 9.5 amps continous. That is about a 40 minute charge.

I've got my first small gripe with mine now...
The left-most negative post is basically held on with a metal nut on the back of a plastic screw that makes up the shell of the banana plug. Mine wiggles around with almost no hold at all. I've taken it apart and re-tightened it, but a week or so of use later, it's flopping around like a fish again.
Metal nut plus plastic screw is a bad start, and short of sending it in for a repair... I'm a little disappointed in this one small bit...
