Hey everyone.
It's kind of a long story, but I'll do my best to keep it quick. A few weeks ago, my dog ate my cable that goes from the radio to the dongle. After much frustration and LOTS of help from HeliHobby.com, I was able to procure some replacement cables. So, naturally jonesing to get back on the sim, I simply plugged in the replacement cable and went flying.
It didn't take long to realize that I wasn't getting as much left aileron as right, and I also noticed that whenever I gave hard forward cyclic (as in doing a front flip), I would get an equal amount of left aileron. Not good. So I went to re-do my center calibration and channel assignments, and now it's ALL screwed up. It's just like when I was first trying to set it up, but with even more problems now.
I'm using a DX7 with a JR cable, and the DX7 is set up with it's own special model for Reflex that uses standard 1-servo swash mixing- I flew it like this with my old cable with no problem for months. Now, aside from the unequal aileron problem, it's doing some weird stuff to me during the channel assignment. When it asks for full forward cyclic, it simply doesn't recognize that I am. To solve that, I just gave it full back cyclic and then reversed the channel, and that seemed to work. However, the software is still complaining that I have channel 1 assigned to more than one function, and it constantly asks me to re-do the channel assignments. I have no negative pitch available in idle-up (it just gives me positive), and the aileron problem is still there. I had the "channel 1 has more than one function" problem when I was first trying to get it set up last summer, and I can't remember how I worked through that.
If anyone has had these problems and knows how to fix them, or maybe has some insight as to how to fix them, I'm all ears. I'm good enough on the sim to fly some intermediate 3D, and this spring will be the first time I'll be trying these maneuvers for real. So obviously, a properly working sim is pretty critical to me at this stage.
ANY help will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
