mmm now I can see why that heli is heavier then the T-Rex 500,
still bigger, I'd really like to see it next to one.
Like Odieser, really wondering about the battery mounting,

Its basically a Gaui 550 with a carbon frame that is very similar to the CHP frame. I wonder if it can swing 500mm blades without mods?

My guess is one at the front vertical-ish and one underneath that horizontal-ish - it looks as if there are strap-holes for both of those

to me... it kinda looks like someone chopped the nose off a 550 frame and called it done..

Now you mention it, it is a bit snub-nosed :DOH

well from other pics on other sites I looks like they are using the new 6S 2200-2500Mah packs (1 only) there is no room for two packs (one vertical and one horizontal underneath as the vertical pack will hang down too loww to put any other below)
So not only is is heavy and not much of a change from the 550 it requires the purchase of new packs in my opinion. I think Gaui screwed up on design of this one. Cheaped out.

So basically a new frame and a new canopy all else exactly the same. Not much development from R&D. Would have been nice if they listened to their vendors and customers.
I would have liked less 'transmission', each gear requires a metal shaft, 2 bearings and 2 bearing blocks, no servo bell cranks (more room up front and reduced weight) and just a bit wider frame to safe house your gyro and a decent size receiver.
I was hoping the the Gaui 425 to be lighter than my Trex 500 :(.

TT is nice... but having more gears to worry about.. plus more bearings to deal with.. and imagine the price of a boom strike... yeah.. TT is nice, but I'll stick with a belt

I'll take a short boom H550 with a tail belt any day over that thing lol.. especially at that price.

The Trex 600 is very nice with the TT and sure hope it can be useful in the 550. So you guys need to test it for me :YeaBaby:

I'll stick to my 550 with CHP CF frame and short boom. I have more choices in batteries. less weight.
