Default Gear Ratios

Does anyone know what Gear Ratio's will be offered for the 700N? It seems they're gearing it around the OS 91SZ-H @ 8.2:1.

Will they offer a lower Gear Ratio for the YS 91SR? I've read the YS likes a 7.91:1 ratio....

I read from the align forum that someone suggesting the ratio is 7.727 but no one from align confirms it. I don't seems to see them confirm the ratio in public yet.

Align only said at the beginning testing stage OS /YS use the same ratio now. And this ratio seems to fits OS /YS engine.

You can also expect more from 700n in the future testing video. ASJ told the people in the align flying field that the engine has not been turn to the optimal yet.

7.75 has been tried with the 91SR in the N9 (16T pinion and 124T main gear) and the results were not terribly impressive.

Yeah, I've been reading more about the YS91SR motor. Todd Bennett actually helped design the Hatori SB19FH pipe for it. He's quoted as saying the 91SR w/SB19 pipe works well with a 8.0 to 8.2 gear ratio.

So, basically the same as the OS.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what Align does with the fan (because of the different crank threads).
