Hi guys.
I Have got 2 dewalt packs here, i need to disesemble. I have got a high quality T10 Torx, but it is impossible to get out the screws. I got out 4, that were kind of easy but i have 3 screws left, and it is impossible to get them out.
Are there any special tricks? Or will i have to cut away the whole piece of plastic holding the 3 screws?
Hope someone can help me...
Regards
Daniel

The screws on mine were very tight. 1st make sure that you have the correct bit size. Make sure that you have a firm grip on the battery. Mine I wrapped in a small towel and put in a vice and used both hands and much body weight to break free the screw.
One thing you can try is to tap the top of the screwdriver with a hammer. (this may take several mild tapps) tap, tap twist...tap, tap twist.
if your carefull you can run the area of the case where the screw is under hot watter. or put the battery in the freezer for an hour or so.
between either the heat or cold you should be able to break the screw free.
and lastly, get out the dremmel tool but be very careful

I didn't have a tamper proof torx bit so I just hit the little button in the middle of the screw with a puch. That nocked it down far enough to allow me to unscrew them. The first two packs I didn't have any problem but the third was a bugger. As stated make sure you have the correct sized bit and lay into it. If you strip it then break out the dremmel and carve away.
