Hi guys I have a ARK CNC gear on order I believe it will be a straight swap

Get it tommorow. This should be a nice mod

ARK X400? I believe that's a drop-in fit.

...Ah, yes, seems to be on the list already. I think the guy who reported on the fit was very happy with the quality and durability. Let us know how it works for you - looks like an attractive option.

Hi Andy great to see you here mate:)

OK, these servos are all over the place but where can I get it for a good price AND from a reliable source? I'm seen some complaints from ebay vendors and other vendors that I don't want to be one of their victims. I'm looking for the SG-90 servos so if you have a prefer vendor for this servos, please let me know who it is, thanks guys!

Have just received my CNC head from Hongkers. What is the best flybar to use? I'm gonna use the Align paddles, but will the Trex flybar fit the CNC head easily?

Cheers,

Mike

Depends...

Stock flybar can hold the Trex Paddles but some have reported the holes in the paddle being too small? which makes no sence to me as the trex fly bar is usually a little bigger in diameter over the esky.

I would say get the paddles you want and put them on the esky flybar..... to use the trex flybar it would have to be an older style flybar (not version 2 for sure) as thats bigger diameter and would require making the flybar cage flybar rod holes larger as another user has already done on this site.

So a stock pEsky flybar and plastic Trex paddles will be good. Ta Wolfie.

These will fit the esky flybar

I am using the Align flybar and Align paddles with the CNC head.

the Align flybar and Esky flybar have the same thread size, but the align bar thickness is thicker that the Esky's. In order to make it fit in a CNC head I had to drill out the Flybar holders. I'm not sure of the exact size of drill bit I used but it came out of a standard set of drill bits and it makes the holes the perfect size.

I just hand held the holders on a drill press, and the bit will self center itself in the existing hole.

The Align flybar seems to be stiffer and more resistant to bending...and they actually come from the factory as a straight bar vice the Esky spagetti noodles.

yes Shane, that's what I was alluding to. The pEsky stuff can be a bit variable, to say the least, and whenever it is time to change a part, I look for an upgrade. Might get a Trex flybar and see how it goes on the CNC head [when I have built and fitted it!!!].

Just doing a bit of research here prior to building my pEsky CNC head, and there appear to be 3 different Trex flybar rods [ HS1006, HS1184, HS1264], and 2 different plastic paddles [HS1191 and HS1192]. Would I be correct in stating that the 1006 flybar is the thinner one which mates with the 1191, and consequently that the 1184 is the new thicker one which fits the 1192? And also that the old 1006 flybar is the closest in size to the pEsky flybar? Also, what of the HS1264 flybar rod?
Confusing or what?

To make it easier on you.

The Trex 450 SE V2 has the thicker flybar rod. your looking for paddles for Version 1 or Trex450 XL

Well Wolfie, I had a couple of emails from that fast guy site, who say all trex paddles fit all trex flybars, and that the only difference in the flybars is one of length, presumably to improve the roll-rate. Now I am even more confused!!!!!

Mike

Yeah well maybe he dont know what the hell he talking about becuase the Version 2 flybar is WAY thicker than the XL or Version 1.

Perhaps maybe at the end of the Version 2 where the threading is its the same as the diameter of the older versions.... If thats the case then buy any paddle, i know for sure you cant slide thru a version 2 flybar thru the Esky head without making the holes bigger.

Like i said use the link i sent you previously with the paddle thats the ones i bought for my belt cp and they worked fine with the stock flybar.

Cheers Wolfie. Think I will order the "old" flybar and some new paddles for my CNC head. Thanks for the info, mate.

Also worth noteing that there are 2 differnt length flybars you can get for the Trex!

One is the same length as the Belt CP, the other is shorter!

Im sure Dierwolf we keep me correct but I believe the short one will be more responsive but less stable and the longer the opposite

Andy

Thats correct same for blade length, longer = more stable, which is why the larger the heli gets the easier it is to fly.

Thx Dierwolf for confiming:)

I've also noticed differences in paddle weights. The same effect of inertial stability I presume...

Yes heavier the more sluggish the controls and a little easier to control as things move more slowly, lighter is better (For me anyways)

Adding weight to flybar is like putting on training wheels.

Question?
What head lock system has a Trex got? Does that gyro work with the Belt system?

I think it is the Telebee clone and I am flying with the Telebee, way better than the esky ones (tested them both) and not to costly.

That's about the right price. ;) Crikey, that's only the cost of a couple of shots of Lagavulin or three

Tell you what; I could handle the cool, I could handle the windy, I could handle the rainy, but all three?????:lol::lol: ewwwwwww
