Questions for the Twinn Rexx Gods!:noteworthy

I'm still adjusting all the mechanics, but also playing with running the motor.

I notice that when I throttle up and let the motor run, the servo's move ever so slightly on their own. I have 1 ferrite ring coming out of the BEC, another 1 right before the power from the BEC goes into the RX and I have 1 more between the ESC and the RX. I'm using a brand new JR FM RX.

Any ideas on where else I can choke the noise? :arggg:

Do I need to try a JR PCM RX? and will JR's PCM work with the Tandem Controller?

Any input is greatly appreciated as usual! :)

Thanks,

John

IMO it's the FM Rx. I tried one at first and it glitched but only mildly. I changed it to a PCM and the glitching is no longer an issue.

The JR PCM Rx should work fine with the TH-2.

Joe, I love your machine, your design, your mixer board and your store. You have great prices and you get my parts to me in 2 days. I sure wish you had a JR PCM RX for sale on your website. I need one and want to order one from you.

Your faithful shopper,

I actually had a problem with my esc's battery wires running by my gyros. At 50% or more throttle the servos would dance. If I moved the battery wires away from them it would stop. I ended up switching to an align esc and the problem went away. And this was with a pcm rx.

I'm running my wires like everyone else. I have Ferrite Rings all over the wiring harness and I'm using a PCM Rx. Running up the throttle to track the blades and the servo's started twitching. Is there some shielding that we can wrap out wires with to stop the interference?

Are you sure it's not vibration getting to the yaw gyro ?

Just set the gyro gain to zero and try it.
