As the title says, Id like to see what others are doing for 3d setup on their HDX450SE.
I want more cyclic response, as mine feels a little tame.
My setup: HS56 x 3
Logictech 2100 and matching servo
Scorpion 2221-8 12 tooth
Scorpion Commander 45 esc
KnB tail blades
Trex 220mm flybar
Mini Titan greeny paddles
Radix 325
KongPower 2200 3s
All up RTF weight is 820g
Their is only a few things that I think might make a difference for me. I have the ball links on the second hole of my servo arms, but to get max pitch Im using 90% in my pitch menu, ail and ele is 68% (maxed out). So perhaps if I get a new set of servo arms and use the 3rd hole out, it may make the response feel snappier??
Perhaps the HS56 arent able to pull what Im asking them to? and may HAVE to upgrade to HS65MG??
Im using the 56 as I had a few lying around already.
Lastly, a 13 tooth pinion for even more headspeed. I havent tach'd mine yet, but from what Im reading about others with this same setup, they are getting around 3k on 12 tooth, and 3200 on 13.
In FFF she fair rips along, but the cyclic is too slow.
Pitch range I have is +12 -12.
Tracks like a champion in FFF, flies bigger than its size would suggest, which Im very pleased with.
This is my 2nd HDX450, flies much nicer than my 1st one, but my flying skill has stepped up enough that I want to do a lot more.
Suggestions, setup comparisons and any advice please :D
