Trex 500 Motor Problem

Hey guys,

I just had a wicked vibe come up in my T500 and finally tracked it down to the motor. I am guessing a bearing is toast and needs replacing. Once it hits full speed it vibrates quite severely.

Does Align warranty this kind of thing? If so can someone point me to the distributor I should talk to. Or should I throw it in the bin and head to the LHS.

It has about 30 flights on it using 6s 2200 TP Extreme V2's

check and see if you can get your hands on a scorpion motor.... If you want to contact align.. Call up frank at assurance r/c. Hopefully he can help you out

I have the same issue, send it to Frank, however, you will be waiting like me, for the backordered motors to come in to Assurance! :( It's been a couple weeks so far..

Frank acts very friendly, but he cannot decide anything ("let me ask my boss" Frank said). They ignored my email until I called them. I do not want to get into detail about this, but good luck with Align warranty policy. Here is the website http://www.alignrcusa.com/

My motor had this issue from day one. I just sent it in today to the hobby shop that I ordered my kit from. I posted some pics a while back. It was hard to photograph, but the outrunner housing had a hairline crack around the bell that attaches to the shaft.

When the motor on my 600 smoked after 3 flights I called Frank and he said to send it in and he would take care of it . I had read how slow Align was so I bought a motor from Grand RC And got the 600 in the air in 4 days. Two and a half months latter a new 600XL motor showed up. So send in your motor but if you want to fly this heli buy a motor today.
