there should be a service menu in the GY611, in which parameters for other servos could be set up. How is this menu to open? And what are the figures, which have to be modified? What are the correct values for a 9257?

Thanks for your support @ all

I would love to know someones working settings as well. I'm wanting to put my GY611 with a 9257 into my T-Rex 500. Now that I'm getting more aggressive my 401 is blowing out in fast reverse inverted flight.

Thank you!

You just hold down the two func buttons while turning the model on
Then cycle through the menu, you'll find an entry set to NARROW
That's for the narrow pulse width of the S9256 servo
Press the data button and change it to WIDE
which is for standard digital servos

IF the GY 401 with 9257 will not hold the tail. The GY 601/611 using the 9257 is not going to hold it either.
Need larger tail rotor disk or a different servo.

Thanks for all the great info! I thought aggressive reverse flight was one of the weak points of the 401, and that's why people upgraded to the GY611?

Thank you.

Thank you Jafa. The Narrow and Wide was my question. I had seen that good 611 setup instructions, but of course that was for setup with the 9256.

People normally upgrade to the GY611 for consistent piro in the wind performance
It does stop crisper and there are other small differences

But a 401 does do backwards flight just fine

I would say you need to move the ball on the tail servo inwards towards the servo spline
The S9257 does not have a lot of torque and it may be stalling
or at the very least slowing down under load

The GY611 is way too heavy to use on the 500 and smaller helis
It also makes crashes more expensive
