Alright Mike.... Your starting to take this Align *****ing a little too far now. I don't mind some complaining here and there but when you continually jump into posts with negatives every time, your not helping anyone!

Take this somewhere else or you will start getting infractions for trolling!

Mike no I don't get paid or anything. If I get a free heli to do a video from time to time so what? I can tell you the hours put into making a full build video series to help people, far covers the cost in labor... If you don't believe me, you try it!

Helifreak is here to help people be successful. It is not here to bash people, vendors, or companies. That serves NO PURPOSE.
Read the rules. They are pretty simple.

But I don't have a problem with complaints by people that are reasonable and to the point. Manufacturers DO read these forums from time to time so it is good that they see some dissatisfaction if it is there. Your posts were fine at first but now you are just polluting other peoples posts with your negative and unfounded points.
Stating Align is not working on the TT because they want your money is not constructive to anyone!

Anyone got a translator for this??? Sheesh...

How many posts have you seen from 500 owners who have had no problems? Not many. Do you know why? Because they're out flying them! Of the thousands of 500 kits sold, are ALL of them having a problem? My bet is they're not. I don't care what industry/product it is, you'll hear more complaints than compliments.

You've obviously got an issue with Align. Fine, there are over a dozen more manufacturers to choose from. Go fly one of those machines. Would I be safe in assuming you've got a 500 and are having problems? Sell it. I'm sure someone else would love to fly it. If you've got a solution or an idea for one, post it, otherwise your posts serve NO purpose and would be better left on your side of the keyboard.

I did see the photos just wanting to know when the torque tube is coming out, I'm not complaining, just wondering, I think the 500 flys great! I just starting to be build my second t-500 with of course Bob's videos and the great deal from RC Hover, for a backup. I just wondering if I can build my second with the torque tube, I did put all the g force upgrades on my first one to help out with the static issue.

thanks

7-10 for production but it will probably take 2-3 weeks to hit the US here.... UK seems to get Align stuff about a week before US. Enjoy it Symon ;)

I like the idea of a TT, but I still am unsure about it. I may have to see how others like it before I jump into one.... I am sure the 500 could benefit greatly from a TT, but I am gonna wait personally.

Bob, when the TT comes out, are you gonna add a TT/install vid on the 500 build vids? I would love to see one and hear your thoughts on it before I get one. I am sure others feel the same!

How fragile is a TTT compared to a tail belt?

Does it "explode" the second the tail fins touches the ground in a less than perfect landing?

yes finless you must be the first to get one, and show us how to install it, and show us if the TT gears strip if you touch the ground at all.

It is more fragile then a belt. I had one on the 600. It can strip the gear pretty easy if you don't pay attention, but it will not "explode"...

Having said that, I thought having the TT on the 600 was great. It did seem to be more efficient then a belt and you don't have to retension it.

I will definitaly go for the TT on the 500 when it becomes available.

I am going to get one too, for the better tail performance and to make my tail heavier. right now my nose is heavy and I cant move my batteries far enough back to get the cg right without hitting the canopy.

Well I am sure I will be getting one the minute they hit assurance. HOwever I am NOT going to test the gears by hitting the tail blades on the ground.

Bottom line guys based on experience with the TT on the 600. If your still hitting tail blades on the ground you probably don't want to get the TT as you WILL probably strip gears. The front ones are usually the ones to go too and they are the hardest to replace.

I know a few people that got the TT for the 600 and later went back to belt because they kept stripping gears hitting the tail rotor blades on the ground.

I am not very concerned with stripping the TT by hitting the tail on the ground, the T500 has very good tail clearance, I am more concerned if it will strip in the air on hard piro stops.

Well considering the 500 can have a INSANE piro rate, I am sure if you have it set that way and stop hard that the gears can be stripped. Could be wrong but based on experience with this very thing on the 600, I think it will be about the same.

I do not have an insane piro rate set on my helis as I am constantly doing piro ish maneuvers and having a crazy piro rate I would constantly overshoot the stops.

No all that happens is it makes an horrible noise, as you will probably only chip off a few teeth

Iv heard about this happening but have never seen it..... probably you still have enough teeth on the gears to get it down

I am going to get one my piro rate doubled when I changed from belt to tube on my 600N. just put some expo in the tail it has always kept my from stripping:)
