Anybody here try the S3154 servo on their tail?
There seems to be a lot mixed opinions on the subject.
Just curious if anybody had any experience with this servo.

I'm using it with a GY401 gyro and it flies just fine!

I have just finished setting one up but havent flown yet due to being too bloody windy :(
Once thing I did notice was that if I put the gyro into digital mode the servo jumped around a lot and was quite twitchy. When I changed it back to analogue mode it was nice and stable and able to be sub-trimmed to remove all creep as per the finless bob videos.
Am hoping for the wind to nick off tomorrow - fingers crossed... I have also just completed changing the others for HS65's as one had died and shoved me into the ground before it even took off. Stuffed the blades, the feathering shaft, flybar and main shaft.
All ready to go again so fingers crossed.

Do not use digital mode on those servos, digital mode is for fast frame rate servos ( Futaba S9650, S9257, or JR DS3400) most of your micro digital servos need to use analog mode or you risk burning them up quite fast.

Ok,
I guess I will just have to spend the extra $23 and get one of the recommended tail servos.
Which do you like better the speed of the 9257 or the extra torque of the 9650?
Thanks..

the 9257 is smoother feeling, but the 9650 can stop a little bit better from a fast piro. You will be happy with any of the 3 mentioned, the futabas are a bit cheaper.
