Anyone happen to know the diameter of the main shaft on the b400 ?
Is it 5mm?

I piled mine up a week ago. Replacing the main shaft and gear is a big undertaking. If you dont have acces to press tools and a vice, you will need to buy the main gear that comes with the one way bearing. (like 5 bucks more) I think I spent more time looking for screws that I had dropped than working on the heli. Also did alot of backtracking when realizing I left a spacer or shim out. Now that I've done it once, the next time will be alot faster and alot less trips to the LHS. Many of the components come in a "two pack". Spent 50 bucks on parts but now I have enough for another crash. Sorry. I wrote all that and then realized that my micrometer is at work. Cant measure the main shaft. Putting foot in mouth now.

Thanks guys... the reason I was asking is that I am thinking of changing rotor heads,(no particular reason, just to experiment) all after market parts I have found are based on a 5mm main shaft. I think 4.97mm would be close enough to 5mm. I will buy one and see how it fits the bearings.
Hey clutch, thanx for the tip on the main gear, you can take your foot out now......:cheers
