I can't figure out how to activate the timer on the DX6i

I read the manual, but the manual doesn't say exactly how to start the timer counting. I was able to figure out how to completely rebuild the heli to perfect working order, but I can't seem to figure out how to start the flight timer. :(

So I just flip the trainer switch? But when I do that, the numbers don't start counting down. Are they supposed to count down on the screen?

ok, something was wrong with my TX. It would not start counting down. The settings were all correct, and it was set to activate from trainer switch with a count down of 4:30. It would not start counting down. I changed it to 20 seconds, and it started working. I changed it back to 4:30, and it works now. Wierd. Thanks for your help. :)

You can pick what switch you want to use to start the timer.

You can choose between the trainer switch or the throttle cut button.

I use the trainer switch. It should "beep" when you start the timer and then
beep again each minute and then repeatedly beep when time runs out.
