I'm ordering my CF / PRO hurricane next week, and i want my second hurricane to be complete metal / CF variant. I heard about some grip-departure-in-flight problems due to weakpoints in grip holder. Also, there were some hints on the unit being of soft metal.

Is this the same grip as in the upper link kit?

Thanks

So GAUI components work fine? But, there is no metal tail drive from GAUI, right? I can survive that, as long as the components are reliable.

off topic, but just curious. i'm having some difficulties getting my cg balanced (nose heavy) and was wondering if using the longer tail boom would help? will i need to get 550mm blades to use the long boom? if so, forget it lol. i've already got three sets of 500mm carbons.

It might help to some degree. First relocate your electronics, than trim your helicopter and you won't have any problems with longer boom.

First of all, why do you use shorter one anyway?

Till now i haven't read one good explanation to why it's better than longer one.

it's what came on the xes version. so i'd be alright using the longer boom and the 500mm blades, or i'd need to go with bigger blades?

the 500mm blades are fine for the longer boom...but you'll always have the option of going bigger down the road
