Does anybody know how I increase/decrease the piro speed on the 611? Do I use the ATV function in the transmitter or the AVS function on the amp?

Several ways to do it.
You can go into the menu in the gyro and increase the Channel Gain. That menu will have ACGA if it is AVCS mode and NCGA if in Normal mode. The A at the end will change to B depend on which way the stick is deflecting. Increase the precentages each direction equally.

You can increase the ATV's on the rudder channel in the transmitter.

You can increase the mechanical throw, move the ball in towards the pivot point on the tail bellcrank and outward on the servo wheel.

Easiest and the one with best results in my opinion is the first one I mentioned. You can make the heli piro like a blur with full stick deflection by increasing the channel gain.

Thanks for the response DavidH. However, my 611 shows the ACGA not as a percentage but as 3 stars followed by a flashing % symbol?

Have I done something wrong elsewhere or is my amp unit faulty?

Any ideas would really help as I'm a bit worried about it!

I am going to guess you have the gyro set to 3D mode. I don't think that feature I described is available in 3D mode. I have always used the gyro in F3C mode.

Yes, its set to 3D mode. Is this function only available in F3C mode? If so, whats the best setting to get a fast piro? Is it best to run this gyro in F3C mode?

Will the piro rate be proportional to the amount of stick input in F3C or is it one speed regardless of stick position?

Sorry for all tyhe questions!!

Thanks

Pete
