Any details on the 90 3d that was introduced in Toledo this weekend?

It's still in development. I was told it won't be available for purchase anytime soon. The tail boom and tail rotor assembly looked like it was straight off of an evo 90. The ccpm arrangement was quite like the freya ccpm upgrade with blue anodized bellcranks and such but the servos are of course mounted higher in the frame. It had a different clutch bell with some holes in the top, it looked pretty cool. The head is an elegant looking work of art, there have been many pictures floating around as it's pretty much what was used by dominik to win the big european 3d contest. It looked very adjustable. The frames were a hybrid of sorts, it's mostly a two sided non-stacked arrangement (the prototype was CF but the rep said the kit will be G-10 with a CF option) but there's a small stacked frame surrounding the fuel tank which is also where the boom supports attach. There was no canopy displayed at toledo.

Lets just hope they will improve on the shape of the canopy. Hirobo's canopy is no where near JR or Avant. It does not look aerodynamic & sleek. I think is about time to change that. Apart from that I have nothing but praise for Hirobo heli.

If Hirobo will still use the same canopy design for their new 90 3D, then I will have to buy me a new fiberglass Freya canopy to use it into the new heli. Whoever designed the new canopy doen't have any ideas for a nice slick, sexy canopy. Hirobo did a good job on the Sceadu and Freya canopy, I just hope they will continue doing those type of design.
