So you are having the similar problem? The problem that 'they' tell me 'they' have never ever ever heard of before??? Hmm... something smells a little fishy here...
I did actually look at the monitor screen, and the monitor screen reflected the actual servo position, but not show the twitching. Then again, the resolution on the monitor screen is not that high and I doubt it would even pick it up.

Just finished with Tech Support at Horizon Hobby. The monitor function on my TX does show the ail, ele, and aux servo indicators bouncing around when the cyclics jitter on the Blade. Tech support had me load a blank model and repeat the process and one of the servo channels showed the same "jitter". Result: "Your transmitter is bad. Mail it to us."
No loaner or exchange. O.k. Bon voyage DX6i. See you in 3 weeks. Seacomms, I hope you have better luck in Oz. Thanks for the responses, all.

Nope, we dont have the manufacturers out here, so mine is off to the importers, who hopefully will just replace it rather than send it to Horizon!! When I mentioned to them about the v1.2 reciever they told that was the latest version.... Sheesh... I had to convince them that its now 1.6, and has been for a few months. Hopefully they will replace that too.

Seacomms, can you tell me why you went to the HiTec tail servo and gyro? Are they a better combination than the stock setup? I can understand ditching the stock servo. The gyro looks a lot like the Logitech product. I am still using the stock gyro but have a DS285MG on the tail.

I wasnt happy with my stock gyro and def not comfortable with the stock servo. I think there are varying degrees of quality in them (gyro), mine has a painful creep in HH mode that is impossible to eradicate. I can trim it up and centre it and have it perfect. 5 minutes later, whether flying or even sitting on the bench unpowered, it will start to creep next time its used or a few minutes into a flight. Being a relatively new pilot I just want it to point where I tell it and have one less thing to worry about!
The stock would prob be OK once I get into forward flight, but at this point I am still trying to master the stationary hover, and I got a pretty good deal. RRP is about $200 US, I got one delivered for $145 US. So I figure with a decent tail rotor specific servo included I couldnt go wrong :)

Just curious. I am using a Telebee on my Honey Bee K2 and it seems to do a very good job for $50US. I have a Futaba S9650 digital that I was going to put on the B400 but it is a monster and I think would require surgery to the tail. I want a back up gyro plan if the stocker dies. Thanks.

Cant see why not, found a post describing the setup of the Align gyro, which is apparently the Telebee rebadged, onto a Trex. The only thing I did notice was it has no support for a digital servo.
I also noticed it takes about 9 seconds to initialise, the stock 110 gyro is about 5 seconds and the Hitec 5000 is almost instant. It might only be 9 seconds, but that would seem like an eternity to me while waiting and staring at it!!

Recieved a new DX6i, AR6200, rechargable batteries, and charger from Horizon. This is to replace the B400 DX6i that was glitchy. I guess they couldn't fix the glitch. Down time was a little over two weeks, about half the time I anticipated. Maybe this will turn the corner on the B400 ordeal.

It did mine, I sent mine off on the Tuesday and a replacement arrived on the thursday afternoon - couldnt believe it!
They replaced the TX, I played with every combination of settings I could and no glitches - very happy.
However, the upgraded receiver they sent back was dead as a dodo.... Had to send it back yet again. Again tho, went out on a wednesday and arrived on the friday - cant complain about that.

After reading this im definately going to give them a call, ive had three crashes from what i thought were glitching servos, ive gone and replaced them with hitecs,i also have the problem with the tail creeping no matter what i do.
its a worry when u go out an spend so much money on parts.thn again i think most cheap helis are designed to have faults so they can sell parts.
All i wanna do is fly without trouble!is it possible :arggg:

Yup, mine is now set up perfectly, with 100% working electronics and mechanics. Unfortunately, that means the next crash will be entirely the fault of the pilot :(
Most likely tomorrow morning sometime after 7...........

It took awhile for me to figure out that the transmitter was glitching my servos. Only when I converted a Honey Bee k2 to dsm2 did I know for sure what the problem was. I too replaced the stock servos with HS65. The problem persisted. It's a pity because the B400 package looked like the answer to several of my problems. Because of the glitches and servo failures I have become a better heli mechanic than pilot. Not exactly what I had in mind.

After receiving the new TX I now have a NEW problem. The B400 now loses throttle control after several minutes into a flight. This does NOT happen on the HBK2. I have replaced the ESC on the B400 and the throttle control still disappears in a flight. Last time I was hovering and I could not reduce or increase the throttle setting. The machine drifted into a box sitting near the conference room wall and shut itself down by ejecting the battery and smacking the tail boom. The only object left to blame as I see it is the AR6100e. It has a V 1.2 sticker on it as does the one in the KBK2. I give up. I am going to pry out the AR6100e and send it in. Any ideas, anybody?

FYI: While waiting for the Blight 400 repair cycle to produce a flyable product I built an EXI 450 T Rex clone. Bought it from Xheli.com for 100 $US. Hovers well. The included blades are plastic and fairly heavy at 32g each but required no balancing. The kit contains NO documentation. No parts list, no instructions, no diagram. Nothing. Have not had the chance to get out for FF.

Well just to add another me too, I've also just experienced this. First crash in 4 months of flying and it was a biggie. As a result, when I was setting everything up again I noticed the same glitches in my servos as described by SeaComms. Returned the DX6i to the supplier in Australia who swapped it for a new one. They told me it was a firmware bug in some of the units, a known problem. Anyway new transmitter is now working fine. All you guys blaming the servos for crashing, maybe you need to have a good look at your DX6i. Incidentally the problem only seemed to show up for me in idle-up mode.
