Hi,

I just got my hyperion duo 610i. At the moment I have a basic DN charger supplied with KP lipos @ readyheli.

I power this DN charger with a 60W supply (5A *12V =60W)

I'm wondering (i'm waiting for a 400W supply in the next two weeks)... If I can use this 60W power supply power up the duo charger ... and charge two 3S lipos at the same time (one on each channel).

If yes, does it worth ? What maximum C (I know 2C is the value ... it will also depend on my power input : limited to 60W for the moment) can I setup for the two lipos ?

Cédric...I think you sort of answered your own question when you mentioned 5A X 12v = 60 watts! there is a good chance you would be able to charge two 3S 2100mAh packs at 1C...or very close to it...as the the most you will be pulling for charging is 26.5 watts per pack (12.6v X 2.1A = 26.46) in a perfect world...but since the world isn't perfect and there will be losses and also the charger is not 100% efficient and requires power to run its circuits...that might come up to more than 60watts...the best way would to just try it...you won't hurt anything if you trip your Power Supply off line...it should just reset itself after you unplug it...at least every power supply I have had would reset with no problems...

think you will be surprised that you will be able to charge your 3S packs at 1C or close to it...

Hope this helps a little...

Also remember to set your Duo up, so it knows the voltage and max amps of your power supply. There is a menu to select this, I think in channel 2 in charger set-up ;)
