Bench-running my heli. Blade tracking with a level swashplate is excellent. Apply roll or pitch, however, and the tracking goes way off. Paddle tracking also goes off. What do I adjust? Also, simultaneous full forward or backward pitch PLUS full left or right aileron makes the motor bog. Turning the rotor with my finger it's obvious there's resistance. What do I adjust? Thanks.

A helicopter is a collection of rotating parts going round and round and reciprocating parts going up and down -- all of them trying to become random in motion.

What blades are you using?

Woodies.
Theory: Since the seesaw is active during pitch and roll, I wonder if a link (or two or three) is binding. All my links seem to bind a little bit. How much is normal?

If you check Bob's build videos you will see that they have to be quite loose. You have to be able to "fling" (in lack of a better word). them with your fingers. They should almost "rotate".
(Difficult to explain in writing) ;)

The links on my Blade CX2 fling. But do your Gaui links fling, and if so, how did you get them to do that? I've removed tiny bits of plastic flashing with my X-Acto knife, I've tried squeezing them lightly, and I've tried lube. I even used my Dremel tool on one, which quickly ruined it. They still feel sticky.

some of the brand new ones i've used are too big too. some, too small. the small ones...i just do a couple of run ups and that loosens them just fine.
