thanks guys!
spartan DS760 with 3153 on the tail, deceleration in the gyro dropped to minimum, end points came out at 125 and 135.
bluebird servos at the moment but these are getting swapped out for HS45 pretty soon.
what else would you like to know?

That is a pretty serious servo for that little gyro.

Why the swap? Are you not happy with the current servos?
what else would you like to know?
Yes! How did you learn to fly like that?!? :noteworthy :YeaBaby:
Btw,- what is the rest of your setup? Throttle curves, batteries, blades and so on?

the bluebird servos work but they arent very accurate. makes it a bit twitchy in the hover.
Currently running the stock plastic blades. 2s 800mah e-sky and gaui battery, 100% flat line throttle. 0 mid stick and whatever pitch the motor will pull without heavy bogging.I might drop the mid stick throttle down to 90% for a more consistant headspeed.
anybody know how to take the esc out of gov mode?
and im using a schulze/berg 8 channel rx without a case no glitchs so far... bah who needs 2.4 :-)
learning to fly like that.... lots and lots of fuel, parts and phoenix sim time!
think that just about covers it :-)

Yeah, Ade that's great flying!!! Really inspiring! And you are using the plastic blades?
I could not do anything besides hoover with the 200 before I got the wooden blades..
Here are some info on the esc:

And here's a thread about it:

Parts and Phoenix time? Thats it? I'm on it!!
Would be great to have a little Gaui in Phoenix though....
Please give us more vids Ade! :noteworthy

thanks for the esc info.
I need to get the Odin, knight 3de and a plane down to phoenix to get some photos taken, The gaui might be too small for phoenix but will see what i can do.

Speaking about Phoenix: Which model do you use, that comes closest to the Gaui 200?
Thanks a million

the honeybee king and blade 400 are probably the closest.

lots of cool stuff on its way from spartan including a settings editor "card" so you can make adjustments at the field without a laptop. the 630 (401 competitor) is on its way too. and a whole host of other gizmos in the pipe line.

kudos for having the balls to try it dude.

its so light and it was in long grass, as long as i killed the headspeed before touching down it was never gonna do any damage.
did a few more yesterday in wind and its actually quite controllable. headspeed winds up nicely in the flare so its less of a controled crash and more of a landing.
still not had the balls to try it on flat ground tho.
