Hi all,

Do you think if this motor is suitable to be run in a Logo 500 3D with 550mm blades?

The specs of the motor can be found here... http://www.innov8tivedesigns.com/product_info.php?products_id=340&osCsid=790f258c04e37f0a09f8957d072b9077

I know that these motors were meant for the smaller T-rex 500s... but do you think that its suitable to be on a Logo 500 (mod 0.7 with 17T pinion; Headspeed of around 2200)?

Your comments are much appreciated... Thanks!

These are too small for a 550 blade. You will most likely overheat the motor. The 3026 is made to swing a 425mm blade. However Scorpion announced that they have a logo sized motor in the works. I would check out the new hacker turbine motors. They look pretty slick.

But looking at the scorpion specs. Technically, it looks like a good fit. Lets take the common Hacker A40-10L that is commonly used in the Logo 5003D for comparison,,,

A40
Idle Current: 1.7
Operating Current: 45
Peak Current: 55
Peak Watts: 1100
Resistance: 0.019
RPM / V: 1100
Battery: 5-6 Series Lipoly (4000-6000mAh)

HK3026-1000
No Load Current: 1.1A @6V
Max Continuous Current: 62A
Continuous Power: 1300W
Resistance: 0.028
KV: 1000
Battery: 6S capable

If I look at the "operating current" and "Power" it seems like the Scoropions has higer specs than the A40 ? I am not a motor expert, but am I comparing the 2 motors corrrectly? Is there some other specs that I am missing out that is critical for motor performance?

Thanks!
