They bolted straight on all you need to do is drill a hole for the lower canopy mount

D'oh. I had that little part in my hand and wondered 'where the hell does this go?' and then lost interest. I saw the hole in the bottom of the canopy and wondered for about 30 seconds. And then lost interest. Wanted to go fly.

Thanks Wazzer. That hole has really still bothered me. Now I see on that little tiny picture where that piece goes.

So, Skydude
Back in the air yet buddy? We are hoping to get out this weekend (work permitting) and rumour has it that Ben is leaving the office and going to the site next week. This is an unconfirmed announcement and maybe premature but he has asked me to take his Hurri up for him, bit of evening beach flying! The weather has changed here so we have no onshore breeze and, hence, no waves on the shoreline. This makes for flat calm conditions for the next few months. I had a dream of a Hurri doing a banking turn over this still South China Sea (and reflected in it) and am desperate to catch it on my new camera (I am not supposed to know about the camera until my birthday on Tuesday!) So watch this space for a wet Hurri or a great photo sometime next week!

I know one thing for sure. No way in hell am I going to do this again.

I guess my out is that I was not in hell. Here in 2nd paradise.

Arrghh! Damn. I am just getting to fricking complacent (ahh - translate stupid maybe)

Just did the exact same thing on a rex 450. Same gusty wind, altitude, nose in. It's so funny how perspective changes with scale. Now the 450's just seem so little, it was like - ahh, damn, broke my little heli. But STILL.

Have had a day to rethink this throttle hold thing. And I'll have a couple more waitin on parts still coming for the hurri (should have been here today?)

I fly pinch. Keeping my little finger on the th switch caused first dump. Moving finger to lift it caused interaction with aileron causing second and third.

I find the fingers that are not on the stick kind of clutching the radio, not making for an instant move to 'lift' the th switch. Rotating switch 180 degrees seems really appealing.

Or just staying away from the switch and not worrying about being able to 'get there' in an emergency.

Sounds like you may have a potential 'Cover Shot' for RC heli JB. Or center spread.
