Thanks for all your help
No sound so I don't know whether there was any commentary... But it's looking good.
How many flights now? And did you fly anything else before?

I want those blades! Something did sound weird with them towards the end though. Any idea what that was?

One of the paddles is out of alignement, you could hear it after the first stall turn. That is my guess on it, almost certain. ;)

Hey
Shawn is a100% right. I sprayed a little Boeshield rust inhibitor and lubricant on her in the morning. A few of the screws were beginning to rust.
Later in the afternoon I went out to fly and the fly bar began to turn during the said stall turns. Tightened them up and will drop a little locktite on them in the morning. Thanks a million guys.

Hey,
just started flying again after a 22 year lay off. Schluter stuff from miniature aircraft (heli star, champion and superior). I was going to buy from them again but they did not take me seriously. I'm glad I discovered mikado. There great to work with. Its good fun too.
On another note, you had posted a pic of bearings replacing the idler wheel. I like that mod.
What is the exact size of the bearings you used? As I wish to make that mod. Does it get hotter than the plastic wheel with the friction? Let me know please.
Thanks

Hey,
Are there any spaers inbetween these bearings or do they just "kiss" eachother.
What about the spacers, what do you use there?
kindly let me know
Thanks

That video ripped man! Great sport flying. Exactly what I want to do. The whole hardcore 3D thing is too insane for me. That set-up looks like A123 to me. You could hear the power in that thing! So sweet. Man.. Logo 500 or 600, I can't decide now!!! Awesome!

Hey Marshall,
What are you using to replace the spacers in between the bearings?

I'm not using any spacers in between the bearings. You will have to shave down the outside spacers though. Make sure that you do these evenly or your bearing placement will be off.

Dont know the exact size of the bearings i used but the width is 4mm, i only used two, the spacer is from a Trex450 head that goes between the dampeners and blade grip.
Dont know if the bearings get hot, heli is still not built yet, will be a few weeks till i get my motor and few other bits.
WoW 22yrs is a long break, glad ur enjoying it.

Ok
What did you use to cut them down to size?
Does it get hot? Or hot enough to damage the belt in an way?
Let me know please

If you want to run very thin spacers between the bearings (just to make sure all the side loads from tightening the bolt are on the inner races), Miniature Aircraft sells the bearing spacers, part # 0562-1. I've never tried 'em without the spacers, but it apparently works, as others aren't using them. By the way, the bolt doesn't have to be "tight". Just barely snug.
As for the heat issue. Not to worry. Runs cool. No effects on the belt. The original "carbon tail box" upgrade available for the Logo 10 and 14 (before the 600 became available), had the bearings riding directly on the belt. The plastic sleeve used now is something new with the 600.
Take care, Dave Dahl.

The extra canopy nubs for canopy spacing that are in the kit work perfect if you run (3) 3x8x3 bearings you can use the (2) short on one side and the (1) longer on the other. No cutting, sanding etc...

Yea that was kind of a fluke there Jeremy, I did hear later that B and a few others were using the same pieces so others managed to use those parts as well. On this note I did see this one guy on another forum that used a Quick UK Raptor pulley same tooth count of course and used (3) 3x8x4 bearings and his own spacers it looked hella sharp, check out the tail on the right.

Thats some nice work.
The pic on the right. what ist the material he is using for spacers and what has he used to replace the hexagon spacer?
Any Ideas?
Let me know please

No sorry I do not know, I would guess Aluminum perhaps?? I wish I had a CNC machine and knew how to use it though, lol. ;) I am trying to communicate with this user, however he really does not speak such good english, so this is difficult.
