What motor do you plan on running. The Mod .5 gears really aren't bad from what I've heard. I'd run them if it was all that came in the kit.

I run the mod.5 gears in my 8S 600. 200+ flights no problem. I'd say on 6S no worries.

Been flying mine on .5 mod for months. You'll be fine as long as you're running the metal motor mount.

Just set your mesh properly. You want no backlash at all, but smooth as possible. I tensioned mine up, then just backed it off bit by bit till the gear mesh was smooth. Do NOT put in any backlash/spacing, like you would a normally geared heli. No thin piece of paper, not tiny gear movement, nothing. That's a quick way to gear strippage.

You run a good chance of smoking your controller with that pinion! I've got that motor with a CC 85HV and I'm peaking 96A with a 20T. I started out with the 22T and had to send my 85HV back twice for repair and smoked a Align 75G. The controller was so hot it melted the heat shrink!

You were given head speed numbers for several mod 0.5 pinions in another thread that you should be looking at. As mentioned, you will probably burn up the ESC and/or have too high a head speed on 23T.
