"Don't crash" Yes that is the best answer.. BUT

Has anyone sourced a supplier for raw tubing for either the tail boom or drive shaft? I now own 6 spare drive shaft ends, but can't find tube anywhere.

Mostly looking to save on crash costs while I get my thumbs up to speed.. $25 for a new drive shaft seems a little steep. I'm tempted to use normal thin wall 5/16" tube for the drive shaft, but it would be heavier than what on there already.

Any ideas?

Go to your local sporting goods store and look in the archery section. People have used arrow shafts with success on the Raptors.

Here is a place that sells just about any kind of CF tube. I was thinking about doing the same thing but was unable to find the O.D & I.D of the drive shaft.( My calipers broke)

Do you have the dimensions for the drive shaft I.D, O.D Raptor 60.

The OD is either 8mm or 5/16 (both values are the same to within 0.002")

The ID (actually OD of the machined end) is 0.294" or 7.47mm. I have a lathe, so I could always turn the ends to a smaller OD to fit a Smaller ID tube..

Probably could just goto LHS and purchase the thinnest 8MM OD tube they have and it would be fine..
