BC6 Charging new Align 6s 4600mah

Just got a new BC6 charging a new Align 6s 4600mah at 4.6a. After 1 hour, the screen says full but the mah capacity only shows 1700mah. Please help.:confused:

If the screen says full, the battery is charged. The batteries come from the manufacturer with between 50-70% charge on them. If only 1700 was put in, it didn't take anywhere near an hour to complete the charge.

Thanks Evan. I think the ESC may be cutting the power too soon. I'm going to reprogram the ESC and try another test flight this afternoon. Hope that was the problem. I charged it again last night and it shows around 1800mah put in the battery.

The ESC should be set to 3.0V per cell. some are set as a % of the total charge, such as the Electrifly SS series. The problem (IMHO) with that is if the pack was not 100% charged, your cut off is now too low.

If you use an ESC that has a programmable cut off, set it to 3.0V to 3.2V per cell.

Spoke with Frank at AssuranceRC today and he said that the Align packs do not come balanced. Which is why the power is cutting off after 2 minutes. I just order 2 balance boards from Evan, 1 for Align and 1 for Flight Power.
