Just thought I'd ask if anyone else is using a Phoenix 10 ESC on a Gaui 200?

I've had one installed and flying for weeks with zero problems except a weak soldering error on my part. I've only used it witha 2S battery but its lighter than the Gaui 12a ESC.

I've been using one for almost a year now, but not on a heli. I use it on one of my home built brushless motors inside a flying wing. That little ESC kicks butt!

Nope, I'm on vacation. Like a permanent one. I returned to work and got layed-off (fired same thing) that same morning. That's what I get for completing two project before I took a week off. O'well. I'll have more time now until I find a new slave camp.

that sucks dude. heli's take my mind off of everything bad. even when i crash them. i had the 200 set up perfect. i mean it sounded smooth. then, all of a sudden, the light went out in the rx, and down she slammed. the motor came back on and it spun up. i was at 80% throttle in idle 1. it freaked me out

Thanks man but it's a blessing really. I'm going to move out of downtown Chicago into the country. Can't wait. Plenty of room to fly!!! Not to mention I can work and fly my Heli's while sending out resumes!!

Hi Guys,

I was wondering what settings you have on the phoenix 10 to get smooth power to the motor. Mine always seems to studder a little in the beginning. My buddy is running the gaui 12A esc and it is smooth as silk. Just curious since I saw the post. Thanks

I don't know how to program it, but the function you are looking for is called "soft start"

Do you have the castle link? There's some settings that limits the power at start besides soft start so you don't strip gears. I think if you have both on it stutters.

Yep, mine did exactly that when I first set it up. I didn't really know what I was doing when I first set it up.

Hey Buzz, I've got the same ESC as you but can't seem to get the throttle to work at all unless I use the stock, Airplane auto calibrating throttle setting... Thats means when I try to use the Govener, the throttle won't work at all. Can you please help me. Michael
