On most days, it seems the only times we get messages/phone calls from a customer is when there is some difficulty/problem/question.

Of course, when there is no problem, then why call me? I understand that.

But some days we get an e-mail like the one below. This is an overseas customer (I will not identify them), and it just makes for a good day when we hear from someone like this.

To Bergen

For a couple of year now we have been flying the Indistrual Twin for various
autonomous tests. And we're quite happy with it. I'm currently drafting an
application for a research project involving multiple helicopters jointly
solving a task (related to precision farming), and obviously, we thinking
that we want to use Bergen helicopters.

The plan is to use four Observer Turbines, since we want to fit a number of
cameras to each helicopter. ....

6) Can you give me a quote for this? While the modifications obviously costs
extra, I'm thinking we get a discount for purchasing 4 helicopters, right?
Please include all necessary servos, GY611, LiPo cells, 4 crash kits,
generators (if possible), and canopy (if available).
Our application deadline is in two weeks, so if you could give me a quote
soon, I'd really appreciate this.

They then go on with a few questions and ideas for some special items they need.

This particular customer we have not heard from in some time, and I wonder sometimes if the customers we never hear from are still flying, gotten out of the hobby, or moved to something bigger and better. Or, as in this case, just don't have any reason to contact us, everything is just fine!!

If this customer reads this, Thanks. You made my day.

I wish I had reason to send you such an email. I'd love to buy 4 new Observer turbines!

Ron,

Keep rubbin it in:( We'll be lucky if we can get out and fly by next Wednesday. We get rain tonight (possible hail, high winds or a tornado) , tomorrow, rain showers with flurries on Saturday and Sunday, snow showers on Monday, cold and windy Tuesday, with it warming up on Wednesday.

Boy do I love the Midwest:bawl

You need to post more video so I remember what it looks and sounds like to own a turbine:cheers

"The plan is to use four Observer TURBINES"...."

That makes it a good day for us as well!

We have exactly the same thing happen sometimes, Chris. A phone call or mail from someone who we haven't heard from for ages, sometimes to buy a few odd festos and some pipe for re-fitting a plane, and they say they've been flying with no problems for the last couple of years - it makes my day.
