Hey all,

I just realized that I've completely installed my RX before binding it. :arggg: Stripped it back out and then-:arggg: realized that I don't have the nicad pack that came with the dx7 anymore, just the align rx lipos- which of course have different quick connects....
so now I'm wondering about the best way to power the 7000 for binding.

looking at the switched bind plug unit that came with the dx7, it looks like the RED is the positive power lead and the BROWN is the Negative. The ORANGE looks to be a signal line.

If so, it looks like the bind plug shorts the the signal line to battery common.

If so, can I power the ar7000 via the align bec on channel 1, put the bind plug in the normal power port and bind it that way?

If this won't work, I'll clip the connector off the switched bind plug thingy and feed it juice that way
I've already pulled two bonehead moves with my new heli assembly today, I don't wanna get all experimental and blow my RX too.

Thanks for the help

Yes, red - center is positive, brown is neg, orange is signal.

And yes, the bind plug shorts the signal to ground for the Batt/Bind port.

And yes, you can power using the ESC/BEC in any slot and the bind plug in the Batt slot.
