is anyone going to this? i've never competed in any events before...i thought this might be fun. i've been practicing the maneuvers, but i have a question. the flyer says 3 minutes per pilot. i'm having a hard time finishing the mandatory maneuvers in 3 minutes going by standard AMA maneuver speeds (i've never competed, but i've been to a couple of competitions and know the maneuvers are performed slowly and with control.) the only way i can get the set maneuvers in AND have a freestyle is to blow through the compulsories at full speed.
has anyone competed in this contest in the past? is it 3 minutes for the compulsory and another 3 minutes for the freestyle? or do i need to mix in the compulsories with the freestyle?
they also say it's reccommended to have the routine correographed to music...but, music to compulsories is kinda lame, no?
what are your guys' thoughts?
