I am right here with you, I have been into it for 3 weeks and have bought 2 HBK2's and $800 in upgrades ( Futaba 7chp tx ) inc. to upgrade both birds, and I have never flown a RC heli yet, thats why I bought 2 of the same ...one for back up as I learn. It makes sence to me not my wife. Oh well.:wow2:

And I MUST say I would like to elect "Finless" mayor of heli newbe world...................LONG LIVE FINLESS :noteworthy with out his vids :arggg:
Yes,yes,,,this is crazy, two of them are with a friend, I can't enter my house with them or I'm dead, hehehe, I cant explain my wife why I bought four helis in a short time, she don't understand this hobby and why we spend the whole Saturday in the field looking at the sky,,,she said we are really mad,,,,,and I'm really mad for sure, first only to try but only haaa? the blade cx2, then I said Oh its fantastic but it needs power, power to fly away,,, went to the LHS and bought a rappy 30 and a sim, sweet,,, crash it two times learning to hover, no no, one day I tried in the sim a 50 and realized that it has more power, bigger, more stable, went again to my LHS and bougth a rappy 50v2, Gv1 and all the stuff for the heli and a new radio, a new radio? yes,,,,,,trash my eclipse 7 and brought to home a brand new 9C, new heli, new radio,,,,,last Sunday we went outside the city to the beach with the family (wife, two kids, dog, heli? before was a plane) no my third kid didn't came, the car had no space for it, no no,,,, I thought I need a SMALLER for that days, went again to the LHS and bought a Trex 450se, batteries, charger, and and and,,,,,, I need a doctor,,,,, this my story, I don't know why I didn't tried helis before,,,there are amazing,,,,,
i think none of you face the addiction as bad as my father. in the family im the pilot and hes by builder and thats the way it is and probably will be. his addiction to the hobby is diagnosable by a doctor. most people dont believe me when i tell them that i try to stop him from buying everything he does
this hobby should have a warning on all boxes
"hide wallet due to extreme addiction"
Sure, you are right,,,,Bob is guilty, to make us with his videos the life easy,,,,for a long time helis was a taboo, the olders made the birds as impossible to fly, its only for the experts they said, today, thanks to Bob and all the great people here, building a kit and start the thing is more easy,,,thanks for the effort,,,,,and I promise not buy anything until crash hehehe thats my promise,,,,really?:tongue

i've spent around 6 grand since that fateful day last august when my axp cp came in the mail. i got off two quick hovers before i slammed it into the pavement. no sim time previous or plank experience. so i ordered parts, and before i knew it, i spent another $800 on an mx450xs ultimate combo from tower. then i got the hurricane 550. then i got a plank and a 7c fasst, and too many more tools and upgrades (most of which make me no better of a flier) to count. i'm broke as hell, but i've never been happier. i can honestly say that. what sucks though, is that there are very few heli pilots around here, like none. nobody to share my joy with. some plankers, but all old timers. sooner or later i'll find a decent club to join, but i'll always have to drive to get there as none are close by.

wtf??^^
Yea, this is fun,,,,I see that I'm not alone in this adventure, nobody told us that we will spend so much in helis, if somebody told me before that buying an rc heli is not only the heli and radio and thats it, maybe I will not push the trigger, but now is too late, my recommendation is, spend minimum one hour a day in the sim for one month before trying to fly the thing, or you will brake your wallet,,,I know that very well,,,,,,now four months later, Im very happy but with a big hole in the bank,,,hehehe
