On my tail (600dx) I always thought the tailblade-grip bolts going into the hub were somewhat on the short side. They only go in 4-5mm. I think the ones on the 3d are much longer.

Yesterday I noticed that the gap between the tailblade bearing and the hub was slightly larger on one side than the other, so I checked it and sure enough, the bolt was coming loose. Took both out and secured them, this time with red threadlock. But it was a near-miss.

I always use the red on head parts for extra security. Once found some loose bolts on my T450 from using blue. If it seems stuck when I need to get it out, I just apply a little heat from the soldering iron.

Be sure to clean the bolts and threads with a solvent such as lacquer thinner. The machining process leaves an oil residue that you can't see sometimes.

Never had a problem with blue.
