Helidirect have the new frames for the 140T gear. Picture does not look like there is much difference and no mention of the 140T gear.
Picture may only be for representation.
I would have thought HD would have posted about it and not just hidden them in the parts listing.....Very strange. Some information of the changes etc would have been nice.

Helidirect have now taken the frames off their site, but the sub zero arms have now appeared. they may be waiting till the gears are available.

OK...here is the scoop on the frames...I have been at the warehouse in Boston since Friday working on items...and have looked through the 500 parts, etc...

This link:

http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=38_234_252&products_id=4605

are the frames we just got in...(there might not be a picture at the moment because I have asked for another picture to be inserted)

These frames we supposed to be cut for the 140T gear...unfortunately there must have been some kind of a mix up at the factory as the gear cutout...although larger than the 94T cutout...it is not large enough for the 140T that will be available in the near future...we have contacted the factory and sent pictures so they could see the problem

If you are in need of frames for you 500SE V2 or SAH...these frames will work...BUT only for the 94T gear...I also believe that you might be able to use these frames to convert your 500SE over to the new style frame...although I believe you will need the battery plate...which we have in stock but it is not on the website yet...again...I have never seen a 500SE (lepton frame style) in the flesh so I am not sure if you need any extra bolts or anything to convert them over to the new frame style...

Anyway...this is the scoop...I will always try to answer questions from every one...I have a real problem with some one screaming and yelling at me...might be the retired Navy Chief in me...but if you are civil..I will try my damnedest to help you out any way I can...to make you happy with the product...

I will also not blow smoke up your butt...I will tell you what I know...and not sugar coat it...if it is crap...I will call it crap...

We are trying hard to get the 500 issues taken care of...

I don't mean to post and run...but I am flying home from Boston in about 30 minutes and then driving to the Huntsville, AL event first thing on Wednesday Morning...so my time on the internet will be limited...

Greg, talking of new frames and V2 , I noticed the upgraded V2 mixing arms are slightly shorter than the original CNC arms for the SE ( V1) what is the benefit of shorter arms ?

only the longer arm is shorter on the V2...so the same amount of swashplate movement will give an increase of pitch change over the longer arm of the V1 levers..(the input to output ratio is changed)

Just measured up how much the normal sa frame would have to have removed for the 130T main gear and it leaves very little frame between the belt tension wheels and between the cutout on the front side. I think this would make the frame very weak.
When the hell are the new frames going to be here, several guys over here have sold their HDX's and gone for a Trex500, they were fed up waiting for someone to get their act together with this machine. I can understand how they feel.
I don't care what anyone says this is hurting big time the rep of HD and the HDX500. Come on guys the rotorworkz frame has been comming for ages you cannot have messed it up for so long. You are just pushing sales to other manufacturers.

I have just bought a TRex500 because of the waiting involved with the upgrading of the frames and main gear for the HDX500. I would have loved to have got the RV frame but I think it will be ebay for my HDX500.

Mick, its a shame because the heli is basically a very good on for the money. I mean how hard can it be for Charlie (rotorworkz ) to get the frame designed and checked and for HD to get it made. Charlie has been doing it for a long time so its new to him. As someone said before I think they are pushing their own new heli so they can drop the hdx and let others keep it afloat or die. I have been very disappointed with the attitude from HD in that well you have spent a considerable amount of money so you will wait for us to do things when we want. Unfortunately the world is a very small place and that type of news travels very fast and there are plenty of suppliers prepared to look after their customers.
When you think of it the heli was not designed properly in the first place and we have been the beta testers and have to pay a fair amount of money to correct it, not even a discount on parts that really needed to be changed.
Well thats my winge for the day.
Lets hope they "Digitus Extractum" very soon or I will be another moving on and away from HD.

falconea45,

I know your frustation, Charley already designed the new frame long time ago but we need to open a mould to make new main gear 140T. The frame is on the prototype stage, should release soon. Also the main gear is also on the work. You can look at this as design flaw or you can look at this as an improvement. It's up to you. However, we at Helidirect always improve to make the helis better everyday and at the same time deliver the best value for our customers. Just be patient a little bit. Look at the lepton, they are also using 94T, are they making any change so far?

The reason we do not do it so fast is that Charley has suggested a few more upgrades to make the HDX500 much better heli such as 65T main pulley, change flybar carriage, sub-zero arms...

We will work on his advices to make sure once it's out, it's a much greater heli as it is now. So there are a lot of work to improve it but at the end we will have a much better heli at great value. That's what we truely believe in.

You can call in and request for discount on new parts when you purchase new upgrades. We always make sure our customers are happy.

Thank you for your continuous support.
