finally put together!!! GOT QUESTION

well, i finally got the x-spec put together.. one problem. i took the stock hirobo carbons and thought i could mount some MAH 690's on them, well guess not..

question: i have the carbon xtreme dampeners and the longer main shaft.. will i still have to run smaller blades?

Some people have used up to 700mm blades on their Freya's, but I wouldn't exactly say it's recommended. 680's work great on this heli because the spacing between the grips is much longer than most others. 680's on a Freya are like running 710's on a Fury.

690's will not be a problem w/ your setup

if you don't mount the bolts in the bottom of the main shaft but still use the dampners, is that ok also?

It's ok, but you'll have a better chance of a boom strike in that location from what I've been reading. (If you are into hard 3D) Like somebody mentioned a while back on another site, why risk it??? :) Just use the holes in the bottom and use the longer linkages.
