Gentlemen,I just removed the old 19T OWB and there was a very thin shim under the old bearing.I slid the new 20T bearing into position and it seems to have little or no vertical play.Does this shim need to be reinstalled?? :dontknowThanks in advance for the reply's.

Look closely. There should be one above and below the owb (held in place by a dab of grease). I left both in when i switched to the 20T owb.

Thanks! after closer inspection,I found that indeed there is one above and below.:shock:The upper one had come out but the lower shim was still in place.Dab of grease and the new 20t is in.:thumbup:Thanks again. Now it's time to charge and fly.

The question is if you really need the upper spacer. The new manual has a correction where it says just one washer onto the bottom of the owb -> http://www.gaui.com.tw/en/H550_Instruction_Manual.pdf page 4. I think I also installed two of them. I'm not sure if this correction makes sense...

Interesting! With both washers in there seems to be no bind issue?? I wonder what GAUI's intensions were with that one?? Perhaps I will fly a few packs through and remove
one washer and look for any abnormal wear or scuffing? :roll:Thanks for the heads up on that
one Klaus!:noteworthy

No problem! I was wondering about that too... would be nice to get more infos than just "... only one ...".

I'm not using the upper spacer but the lower spacer is a good idea. If you run without the lower spacer then the oneway overlaps the inner race of the lower bearing block bearing which could cause the bearing not to spin correctly. The reason I don't think you need to worry about the upper one is that when the OWB is spinning it wants to be forced down on the shaft not up.
