DX7 + Vista

I'm sure all this has been covered but I couldn't find too much with a search...

I'm looking for the best solution to hooking up a Dx7 to my vista machine with a free simulator.

Suggestions as to connection methods and which sim works best for vista would be GREATLY appreciated.
