Dear Friends
Can anyone tell me which is the best degrees on the blades for 3D flying(inverted flying)
Mine is +11 and -11 but I think that I am loading the engine. Also I am with the governor. Which is the best deg for 3D or at least for inverted flights?
Thanks in advance
Jesmond

I'm not to the level of doing 3D like you see in allot of UTube videos but: You need apx 4 degrees to do right side up hover, so it would only stand to reason that apx -4 is needed for inverted hover. You said you have -11 - +11 this is plenty. If your bogging the engine there are a few things that may be attributed. Engine to rich - Get a temp guage, the engine should be around 200 - 220, do not go over 220. Fly around a bit, get the engine hot, land and imediately check the temp. I've seen a few posts here where they are checking the back plate after hovering for a bit, I don't think this is getting the engine to the highest temp it will get durring a flight. Is this a converted R30 to R50 heli? When doing this you have an option of gearing, what gears did you put in? The other thing that can be causing the head to bog is stick banging. If you are going from -11 to +11 back and forth, no governor will keep up. I'ts been awhile since I watched the video by Sabo(spellin) where he has one camera on the heli, the other on his transmitter as he goes through different maneuvers, but I doubt he uses the full travel of pitch.

How much cyclic pitch are you running? (Measured on the main blades, not the paddles) +- 11 is fine, and about the best you're going to get out of a stock Raptor head but if you are overloading it with too much cyclic it will bog, also a rich engine will bog no matter what governor you have.
