I would be learning to fly on the Logo 600 and would want to use wood blades. I figure they are much cheaper to replace, would cause less damage to other head components on a crash, and be plenty good for hovering and sport flying. Thoughts?

I've heard of too many 600 wood blades failing, so I buy inexpensive ($55) Mavrikk G4 CF blades. They've been really good sport blades for me, although most 3Ders will tell you they're too heavy and/or flexible for hard 3D. All three sets I've flown have been almost dead-on tracking wise and balance wise; in fact, they've been close enough to perfectly balanced that I haven't seen a need to balance them further.

My opinion is that there is NO reason to use wood blades on anything because you can get carbon fiber blades that aren't that expensive these days. Wood blades scare me.

The only exception would be a 450-size heli.
