Quick question. I've just picked up a dual balance board for my BC6 and made a serial charging lead to charge 2 EVO flight power 2170 3s packs. Obviously I select 22.2(6s) but do I still charge at 2.2A or is 1C now 4.4A.
Also, I presume it's normal for the charger to get hotter when charging 2 packs at once? I'm worried it might melt if I crank it up to 4.4A!!
Thanks,
Stu.

Serial charging doubles the voltage. Parallel charging doubles the capacity. The EAC149 is a serial charging balance board. Set the charger for 6S and the same charge rate as if you were charging 1 battery.
Yes, the charger will get hotter as you are now charging at twice the voltage.

Thank you very much. That's exactly how I've just done it. I was expecting the display to say I'd put double the amount back in (ie. 2 x ~1800) but I've obviously I've got that wrong. Both seemed to have charged without a problem. I'll test them out tomorrow.
