hi freaks,
can anyone tell me how many (C) can the align 6s 2600 25c pack handle?
For now I am charging the at 2.6amp 1C , and stiil first couple of flights.
After finishing (runnin in) these packs shall I continue charging the at 1C rate or they can handle 2C 5.2 amp??

Most lipo manufatures recommend to charge lipo at 1C rate. I wouldn't go beyond 1C either.

I set my hyperion for full 2c charge, but it never got above 4.2 or so, so I set it for 4 amps. packs are doing well, no puffing. if you have a balance charger I would set it for 4 amps, my packs still get charged in 34 min.

I have been charging mine at 3 amps without any problems. I am using the tp 610.

The only possible downside to using 2C charging is a possible loss of cycle life. Most testing has shown that the loss is very small, and that 2C charging is a perfectly fine option when you're in a hurry.

I charge all my packs at 2c using the Hyperion Duo, even the dirt cheap Chinese ones, no problems at all , 30-35 min charges every time.

+1 w/ the DUO at 2C
Cheap lipos going strong for 60+ cycles now. The 30min recharge time is GREAT!

I charge 1C at home and 2C at the field. Just make sure the charger can handle 2C and balance at the same time.

Hyperion 1210 / dual, design for safe fast 2c charger. It charger packs @ 2c rate. Up to 80% , then auto drop to 1c and below till the packs are full. Its also come cells monitor , temp sensor , auto cut off.....
Some charger can take up 2c, but don't have those safety feature, charger read the pack @ full 2c it keep going 2c rate till the pack 100% full, which danger thing to do.
Like Fireup, I charger my pack 1c @ home and 2c at the fields. No reason to hurry @ home when the heli is ground.

I just posted a similar response in the Trex 500 forum. The Align 2600s are rated at 1C charge rate. You'll get away with charging at 2C occasionally when in a hurry, but regularly charging at 2C will reduce the cycle life of the battery.
It might be going strong at 60 charges, but you'll be kicking yourself when your battery lasts 30 seconds after 150 flights when your friend who looked after his, charging at 1C, is on his 300th!

I only charge at home so 1C for me... Would probably charge at 2C if I needed to at the field...

Me too, at home at 1C in the field 2C. Pack is holding up fine after about 25 cycles.
