My Mini Titan was flying near perfect. Hands off for a few seconds here and there and stable as my Trex 500 in calm conditions. Only fly in the ointment was the heat generated by the stock motor and ESC. Approaching 200° for the motor windings and 150° + for the ESC.

A Just Go Fly 500th / 13t pinion and a Castle Creations Phoenix 35 solved the heat problems. ~ 120° windings and ~135° for the ESC.

While I had the heli apart I balanced and installed a pair of Align 325 Pro's, woodies. I have tried every adjustment possible trying to get these blades to track properly with no luck. They will get about 1/2" apart at the tips at 80% throttle at the best. I am using the TT blade spacers with these blades. http://static.rcgroups.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif

I put the OEM woody blades back on and instant dead on tracking. Did I get a funky pair of Align blades, or what ?

Maybe.

If your still using the plastic upper mixing arms you need to throw those in the trash. Buy metal ones and your tracking issues should be over.

The stock blades are to thick and draw way to much heat and amps. Use them for fire place kenneling and buy Radix 325 or Align 325 Carbon Fibers. Your flight time will dramatically increase with these blades.

My MT is completely stock at this time. Including the upper mixing arms. I have read of the trouble others have had with the upper arms, breaking I believe. My tracking is dead on with the OEM blades though. I am afraid with the plastic wrap the OEM blades will not even make good kindling. :P I have a complete metal head from Xmseller http://www.cnchelicopter.com/servlet/the-895/Mini-Titan-E325-CNC/Detail on the way so the upper arms will be changed soon enough.

What other blades do you suggest other than high end carbons ? I am a realtive newbie and do not need top line carbons just yet.

I agree completely, the Align 325 Pro woodies are excellent and you can't beat the price of $12.99.
