In the Spring issue of Radio Control Helicopter there is an article on pg.82 by John Gilmour that states, I quote, " Now adjust the throttle barrel to the left of the center by three marks, this is the mechanical 50-percent barrel opening of the O.S. Hyper 50 engine. For some reason, many pilots seem to think the center mark is the 50-percent position but it's not, so please don't make the mistake or it will induce differential into your setup." True or False??? There is nothing in the manual stating the center position, I am new to nitros and want to have the correct throttle setup on my T-Rex 600N, which also happens to be the heli in the setup article. I have set my throttle this way and am looking for some help.:arggg:

there are 3 marks at the center of the barrel travel, and one on the barrel itself.
For the sake of arguement, newbies setup to the RIGHT of the rightmost mark.
40% is about what the right mark translates to, and thats where you want it for hovering without overspeeding for the intial flights.
You may adjust to suit, but it's a good, safe starting point.

I take that as a yes than, the motor is broken in, I got it with a Kinetic 50. I will cut my throttle curve back to 40% mid stick for the first flights, thanks
