I just purchase the Align 2 in 1 voltage regulator HE50H11.
It states that it is compatible with the futaba 9252 servos which i have connected to the swashplate, HOWEVER it states that it is not compatible with the 9254 which is what I have for the rudder (it came with the GY401 gyro).
the directions stated that i can get another step down regular to 5.1 volts, however according to the specs that came with the gyro and the 9254 servo, the servo can only take 4.8 volts.
Did i get the wrong 2 in 1 as ther are 4 to choose from:
2 In 1 Voltage Regulator Combo HE50H06
2 In 1 Voltage Regulator HE50H05
B6T 2 In 1 Voltage Regulator HE50H10
B6T 2 In 1 Voltage Regulator HE50H11
or are there other options?
thanks
Jon

Hey Jon,
You should be ok, I am running 9452's on the swash and 9254 on rudder with the 5.1 stepdown. Mine seems to be ok. I have friends that are running the same regulator like yours and I ordered the same one because I am borrowing my friend old align regulator.
I am sure someone will reply with your setup.

The reason for the 4.8V spec is because receiver batteries have traditionally been NiMH, whose voltages are in 1.2V increments. As long as the voltage is in the lower fives, you'll be OK.

Get the reg without the align lipo , they suck.
FP TP 2s 2100 is worlds better. Only a few $$ more to pass on the align and get a good one
I went with a 2s 2100 evolite.

I wonder if a lot of people are just overcharging the Align 2S pack. I guess most modern chargers can tell when it's time to cut the charge on a cycle. I was thinking this because I have yet to run my pack down (after flying) past the first or second green light on the 2 in1. I was contemplating the situation as to a lot of short charges not being a good idea on the lipo pack. Not sure
Western Digital makes a step down too as an alternate to the Align.

i used a 1010c / 210 balancer on it everytime. Even dropped the charge rate to 1 amp. Pack was babied imo.
I did store it charged (charge after flew for the day , ready for next time) and some other people have stored them full and ready to go also had them puff.
Mine only puffed a bit , many would still continue to use it. Myself i don't want to crash my heli or burn down the house for a $30 pack , just me. Lipos while a nessary evil for preformance still scare the heck out of me.

I've been putting a storage charge on mine after each time out, so we'll see how it goes.
