Here is my heli's details:

Mini Titan E325
Stock Motor and ECS
JR X2610 Radio
JR G770 Gyro
R700 PPM Receiver
4 X 75s E-Flight Servos
Flight Power 2170maH Lipos
The rest stock

Alright, hopefully you guys will be able to help me narrow down the problem. I am getting a tail wag but it's more like the heli looses power or stops for a brief moment, the tail sways and it recovers thanks to the gyro. This is really unnerving, especially because I am starting to do figure 8s.

You can hear the heli motor loose power for a brief moment and then it goes again. I have even tried re soldering the deans plug to the ECS.

I think it is either the ECS + Motor or the R700 PPM receiver, what do you guys think??

What would you do to test it and what can I do?? :arggg:

fwiw...

The FM rxs seem to be hit and miss in electrics...My bud uses the micro PCM jr rx with good results....I've had lockouts with the same setup...The Futaba micro pcm gets good press, but won't work with JR tx...
I went to 2.4 gig as soon as I could, and haven't looked back...But others have had issues...I don't believe many of them are directly radio related, but I don't know...
My personal feeling is that the esc/bec is responsible for many of the issues we see in micro/mini electrics, but all mfgs seem to have issues time to time...

I had a similar problem with my Trex 450v2. I played around with everything until ultimately I found that disabling the slow-start in the ESC solved the problem. ESC that I am using is stock Align. I don't know if they are problematic in general or if I just got a bad one, but I have never had the problem again since changing that programming option.

"Slow-start" Not sure what it is really called and don't have the TREX manual handy to look it up, but it basically very gradually increases the power when you are spooling up to take off.

Not sure if that will help as I am not familiar with the ESC you are using, but thought I would throw it out there.

Good luck.

Just wanted to let you guys know what the problem and resolve was.

It turned out to have been the FM Receiver. I got a SPCM receiver for my local heli guy and it has been flying rock solid after the change. Looks like the receiver just lost connection for a moment, just long enough to give me heart palpitations. Just a note on 24ghz, I have seen three helies go down because of unbinding issues. Just be careful to set your failsafe properly. The one guys heli broke his finger and flew off crashing 100m away. Make sure you have your heli's failsafe close to a auto.
