Anyone been messing with higher head speeds?
My new throttle curve = 60-80-80-90-100 VERY stable even in high winds.

0-60-80-90-95 has been good to me in the wind even on a 9T pinion.

Are you guys talking of normal throttle curves? Mine is still 0-65-75-85-100. Do you guys use stunt and idle-up? What values do you got? I'm about to try forward flight today, any suggestions.

the only thing is I dont like the 0 because coming down from a punch out I do not feel as in control.

Yes, Eugene these are throttle curves in normal mode - I will advance to idle up in the near future, but for now I am happy to soar around like a normal heli would.

You'll have to play around to see what feels best for you - But, higher head speeds means more stable bird more tail authority and MORE damage in the event of a crash.

Wait until you get in idle-up. :YeaBaby: You can get down real quick that way. In nornal mode I barely go below 1/2 stick to come down from a punch out, and I have plenty of head speed as long as I stay between 1/4 and 1/2 stick. You really should start flying idle-up a little. It's not going to be much different from what you are doing now.

You know what LockMD I will try that curve of yours 60-80-80-90-100 and I will go to the park right now after I drop the kids to school.

BECAREFUL - only way to start this is with throttle hold engaged - once you flip throttle hold it will take 15 seconds and it will be light on it's skids and when you land only way to shut it off is to hit throttle hold - No offense but I would leave the first one at 0 until you get more used to it.
But if you do it anyhow......before flipping off throttle hold, flip gyro into rate then back to HH to ensure the tail is centered or you could end up spinning pretty fast.

I'm very glad you said that. Ok I will use 0 still. I will do 0-60-80-90-100 for now thanks. Oh forgot to say throttle hold is my best friend.
