View Full Version : Anyone know of an adapter for charging batteries through the DX6i Tx?

Has anyone found an AC adapter charger for plugging into the charging jack on the DX6i Tx? If so, what's it called and where did you get it? I haven't been able to find a center negative AC adapter for it. What voltage should the charger have? The manual doesn't say.

Just reverse the polarity of the center postive adapter. Then the center will be negative and outside will be positive. Done it many times when using a charger setup center positive to charge JR radios that are center negative.

I'm assuming you have installed AA NiMhs ... you can charge with a "peak detect" charger such as the Great Planes Triton 2, Thunder Power TP-610C, Kong Power KP-100W6, Hyperion, etc... (there are 100's of RC chargers that charge NiMH).

The charger will keep increasing the voltage until one of the cells are fully charged, which will cause the overall voltage to drop. Hence the "delta-V" method. For the charging lead, there are several available:
