Got 2 sets for my 600N and while I'm down to one set now , I love them. I'm comparing them in mild FF, some flips rolls, and basic flying compared to my Radix blades. The G5Pro's seem as light or lighter, as stiff or stiffer, and I really like the look vs the Radix which are IMO a great blade too.
I was nervous when I got them in a combo with my 600N sport I bought at heliproz as I searched some threads about Mavricks and people were bagging on them. Then again that might have been the G4 series. I had a set of those I got in a combo with my 600E CF and I sent them back b/c they seemed heavier, and not as stiff. Admittidly they are cheaper, but for the price difference I exchanged them for G5Pros.

I ordered 5 more sets today from Brian at heliproz :). Going with them exclusively now vs Radix as the price increase I can't justify yet. Maybe when I'm a better pilot I'll be able to tell a difference, but in talking with Brian at heliproz(sales so taken with a grain of salt) he said he flies them over Radix and Brian is very up front with me, to a fault sometimes lol. He's always treated me right and I feel compelled to pimp Heliproz a bit.

Also, today placed my first order at Rediheli and WOW, shipped within 2 hrs :). I like their website and the realtime inventory(like heliproz too). Won't be my last order with them. I was buying alot though AMainhobbies, which I still like, but sometimes would take 2-3 days to ship my order and since they are in CA, and I'm in IL would fall into recieving products next week. Generally not a huge deal, but I'm like a kid at X-mas when I order I eagerly anticipate my packages hehe!

btw I'm posting this NOT b/c I have any financial interest in promoting either hobby shop or product, BUT b/c it seems like alot of times all we post are complaints about products or shops.

The G4s are great as sport blades. I use them on my 600N. They take away some of the financial worries of crashing, especially considering the frequency with which I've been crashing thus far. I'll probably give the G5s a try when I get more comfortable with the bird.

yeah I have nothing against the G4's other than I think the G5's look alot nicer hehe! I never flew the G4's so I can't say how good or bad they flew. The G5's are butter though :). Excited to get the new sets in, so I have some backups for my frequent crashing too

ive flown every version of the mavrick blades, and to be honest. IMO they leave ALOT to be desired when you get past the basic FF, aerobatics and the elementary manuevers..

That being said, i have not and dont plan on flying the G5 mavricks, unless someone just so happens to have a pair on a heli and offers to let me try them.

I've gotta add to this. I ran the mav blades and lost so much power under hard 3D that I thought my clutch was slipping. I tried a faster servo (8417) on throttle, everything I could think of. Then last, of course, after missing a flying season, replaced the blades. For basic flying cheap is good but know when to upgrade!

g4 or g5?
my g5's behave just like my Radix blades. Then again, I'm not doing anything super cool in the trick dept.

I fly the Mavrikk G5 WIDECHORD...different than just the G5 they are slightly a wider blade...Jason Bell flew them at the Vega Fun Fly and said they are awesome...more pop than the Radix but not as much as the V-Blades...he said they are right in between and an awesome blade...for me i have not had any problem with them...and they are reasonably priced....just try a pair they are worth it!!!!

yeah that's what I have too. Wasn't aware of a difference in the standard G5Pro vs widecord as I just started using them about a month ago or so :). They are very nice looking too which is always nice ehhe!

PS 2nd order from Readyheli shipped within an hour and a half of order. My first order arrived on Wed after ordering on Monday :). For me in IL, that's awesome as CA generally takes a full week, so finding Readyheli so fast is a nice option for me :).

Those were G4's that I didn't like. Sounds like the 5's are an improvement worth checking out.

Ya there is a difference between the "G5" and "G5 WideChord"...the G5 widechord are slightly wider and gives more of a pop but they also have a smooth airfoil design...well worth trying out....

I got my 5 sets today from heliproz. Fast service as usual :)
Blades look sexy as all get out :cheers
Hopefully I use a set on each bird and keep some spares around for years. I'm sure though that won't happen if my learning curve is to be pushed like I plan :dontknow
