I am buillding the TT Ecureuil for my Trex600e and was wondering if I should or if I even could go with a larger main blade. I was thinking of going to a 620mm Blade. I thought the larger blade would help with the added weight and slower headspeed. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Not really necessary, as it will fly fine with 600s, but the 620s will fit.

I run the 620's all the time no problems

Do you mind if I ask what brand you use and why? (for scale appearance (looks) or flight characteristics)? I am just getting into this scale stuff (sport scale), what do you fly?

I'm flying a Trex 600 E (3) as a sport copter (I dont like the fuel mess) I also have a t-rex 450 and Beam 450 the 620 blades ((SAB BLADES) Curtis Youngblood, Align) were used to slow the head speed and reduce the rapid response that the T-Rex 600 is capable of, I also was experimenting with different blades to see what I liked. Iam building a hughes 500D with a scale head using the t-rex 600 mechanics. These mechanics are the most available in my area and fairly inexpensive. The Beam is because the head geometry is better and a little smoother than the T-rex 450 and there's not alot of them out there yet. you can check out my buddies 500 E on the 5 blade rotor blog

I know what you mean about the fuel mess. All three of my helis are electric. I was thinking of trying 620 main blades for the same reason you stated and that is my dilemma. Which brand should I try (SAAB, CY, or Align (didn't know Align made 620?)). I know it is all personal preference but I am curious, which one do you like for scale?

As far as I know align doesn't make the 620 size I think the only manufacture is SAB for the 620 size they are stiff and offer a nice flight. I had a hands off hover that lasted 20 sec's at 3/4-7/8 throttle with the SAB's and yet you can do mild to medium acrobatic's as well. The look of the blades is fine with the sport scale and the performance is equally as good. For heavy acrobatics I would go with the 600 blades probably the CY's or Align's as these are solid performers for serious 3D. As you can tell I have a few blades in my inventory and I have found the I like the SAB's and CY's the best.

Mavrikk also makes 620s, and they are fine for scalers.
